26 Sep Completion: AVA North Point
AVA North Point is the mixed-use residential and retail project in Cambridge, MA from developer Avalon Bay Communities. North Point is a joint venture between Kyu Sung Woo Architects and CUBE 3, with construction beginning in April of 2016. Celebrating the grand opening on Wednesday, September 26th, AVA North Point includes 265 leasable units and approximately 3,000 SF of retail space on the ground floor. One unique aesthetic within the lobby’s interiors are the use of the green support columns that pay respect to the MBTA Green Line, located directly outside its front doors, combining the old with the new. The projects amenities consist of a fitness center, an elevated courtyard, a swimming pool, a dog wash, a bicycle repair shop, and multiple lounge areas for residents including an IPE patio tucked underneath a two story high cantilever adjacent to the Green Line’s tracks. A two level underground parking garage has also been incorporated for residents of the development.
