Evan Slater qualified into the 20-car feature at the Trans Am Memorial Day Classic

His first time racing in the big leagues, Evan Slater qualified for a remarkable 5th position leading into the 20-car feature at the Trans Am Memorial Day Classic in Lime Rock Park Connecticut over the past weekend. Unfortunately, a couple of technical challenges forced him back to the pit for a two-lap delay, but Evan managed to regain ground and fight his way back up to 14th position by the 4th lap. Ultimately the losses were too great to overcome. Despite the challenges, it is incredibly impressive that Evan managed to produce lap times consistent with the top six national drivers – an amazing feat for such a young driver on his first time out. Winning at the regional and national levels for the past year, it was amazing to watch Evan compete against the pros in a TA2. Evan has the opportunity for an incredible racing future ahead and C3 is proud to be a part of the team with B2 Motorsports, Armada Analytics, Inc., and Innoviv. We’ll get them on the next one… Cliff White
